What is now The Qualified Group was founded by Joel Beckham in 1992 as “Joel Roofing.” It has grown over the years into a multi-state organization, expanding into both other fields of roofing as well as consulting for large roofing companies. Our group of companies has provided a full range of roofing and construction services to both residential and commercial customers in Traverse City, Michigan, as well as Atlanta, Georgia, and Florida. We have done work for the Marriott hotel chain in over 30 states. 

We are a family-owned and operated company. Currently, there are three generations in the business: Joel Beckham I, Joel Beckham II, and Jason Beckham, as well as numerous uncles and cousins. At peak season, we exceed 50 in-house employees and numerous contractors. Some of them have been with us for the entire 30 years. We are committed to providing repair and replacement services for roofing, siding, and other construction needs.
